For 30 years, Fran Miller has called the Sunshine Coast her home and owned businesses from pottery studios, property management and landscaping, to her last 16 years as a realtor. She has raised two children here that both keep strong ties to the Coast. Fran has always been an active volunteer, believing strongly in the importance of giving back to her community. From donating artwork to auctions, organizing neighbourhood garage sales to serving on community boards and service groups, Fran has always found ways to support causes close to her heart.
During her university days in Vancouver, Fran volunteered at transition houses, an experience that left a lasting impact on her. It taught her the significance of meeting basic needs for security and how it affects individuals and families. As a single mother, Fran faced her own financial challenges when her children were young, highlighting the struggles many families face in today’s economy.
Today, Fran is the team leader of the Good People Realty Group, which focuses on giving back and supporting local causes. As a group they have a mandate to give back to this community with an emphasis on food security, affordable housing, and the well-being of seniors and families. With her experience as a realtor, Fran understands the importance of affordable housing and the significant impact it has on people’s lives.
