Conchita is a dedicated self-employed community resident on the Sunshine Coast with a remarkable 40-year history of volunteering and active involvement in various projects, committees, and non-profit organizations at both local and provincial levels. She has a long history of diverse community contributions, including serving two terms as President of the Gibsons & District Chamber of Commerce and was elected to the British Columbia Chamber of Commerce as District 3 Director.

Conchita’s extensive involvement extends across numerous initiatives, such as spearheading the creation of the “Chartering the Course Report” with the SC Community Futures Corporation, organizing successful fundraisers and bursaries for the Women’s Transition House, and chairing and coordinating the annual Sea Cavalcade festival for 15 years. Her deep community commitment extends from representing the Sunshine Coast on the Coastal Council Advisory Board to BC Ferries, to designing costumes for the Annual Nutcracker Show and coordinating events for the Sunshine Coast Maritime & Archives Museum.
