Cindy arrived on the Sunshine Coast in 1984 as the first professional picture framer in the area. Initially situated in Gibsons Landing she opened Showpiece Gallery and now operates Artworks Gallery & Framing in Sechelt. Cindy earned her Bachelor of Fine Art Degree from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design in 1982.

From the Gibsons Landing Business Association and the Gibsons Chamber of Commerce to the Sechelt Downtown BIA, she has played a significant role. Notably, Cindy was the key organizer for the long-running Travel Ambassador Program on BC Ferries and also was at the forefront prior to the formation of the Sunshine Coast Tourism Association in 1999.

“I am motivated to be one of the 50 Women because I would like to see women and children who are fleeing difficult situations find a safe and secure place they can call home.”
