Brenda Rowe

Councillor, District of Sechelt

Brenda Rowe has lived on the Sunshine Coast since 1996, beginning her nursing career at Sechelt Hospital and raising 2 sons in West Sechelt-and various hockey rinks! Brenda has always been drawn to volunteerism beginning with her involvement in the local Registered Nursing chapter, to involving herself in the West Sechelt PAC for the years her sons were enrolled there. Probably best known, though, was for her involvement with Sunshine Coast Minor Hockey during the decade that her sons played.

Brenda’s nursing career has covered the spectrum of health care from the Operating Room to Home & Community Care, as well as the being the Operations Supervisor for the COVID Vaccine Clinics on the Sunshine Coast. In 2018 Brenda dove into the world of municipal politics, elected to serve on Sechelt Council. Now in her second, and last, term she continues to meet the challenges that post pandemic life presents local governments with. One of those leading challenges in housing. For all. That’s why she has become involved in the Building Together project without hesitation. She hopes you will too.

“The SCCSS Building Together project offers all of us the opportunity to support housing and programming at a very grassroots level. The legacy that this project will provide can be life changing.”
