Lynnette Robinson

Director, Rotary Club of Gibsons

Lynnette is semi-retired after 30 years as one of the Sunshine Coasts most successful Real Estate agents. She continues to work with her son Cody who has taken over the practice. She has prided herself in her ethics of putting her clients first and communication skills during this period.

During this time, Lynnette had been President of the Gibsons and District Chamber of Commerce and also the Gibsons Paddle Club.

She has also been an active member of the Gibsons Rotary Club since 2005 as twice time President and continues as a Director of the organization. Rotary is dear to Lynnette’s heart and the Service given to our local Community. She has held quite a few Fundraising events over the years, raising funds for our Community, the monies raised going to support local causes. She is and has been Chair of the Rotary Scholarship Committee where Bursaries are given to Students graduating and going on to Further Education at the Local High School and Alternate School

Travel has always been an important part of Lynnette’s life. Probably all started when she was born in Malaysia and lived there and in Germany before moving to England at the age of 4. (with her parents of course!). Having grown up in England, she emigrated to Canada at the age of 18. Later she did return to the UK for 6 years to run a busy Helicopter and Fixed Wing company based out of the Battersea Heliport in London. Returning to Gibsons in 1992 she began her career in real estate.

Now as a semi retired woman, Lynnette continues to be very involved with Rotary, enjoys playing pickleball, gardening, travel and also dabbles in art. She is blessed with a son that she is very proud of and the two grandchildren she is so lucky to have and spend time with.

Recently she has been introduced to Mah Jong and the many women involved and hope to inspire them to become part of the 50 Women Who Care effort. I also hope that I can inspire some of the members of my Rotary Club to be involved as well as others in the roles I play in the community.

“Affordable housing and homelessness has been a concern for me and I appreciate the struggles and hope I can contribute in some way to help alleviate it.”
